Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to actively use balloons in the Crimea. During regular raids, balloons have become a "frequent guest" on the peninsula, the Rybar telegram channel draws attention.
"At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used balloons with "gifts": the enemy dropped GPS trackers in boxes with parachutes that transmitted coordinates," the TC points out.
As noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants "dumped equipment near military positions, locations of personnel and air defense units."
"Therefore, in the case of the old territories, a similar option is not excluded, in addition to overloading the air defense systems," concludes Rybar.
TC "Two Majors" adds that in Crimea, the enemy bypasses the coordinate substitution systems for the movement of drones by dropping GPS trackers from balloons.
"Blocking the operation of the mobile Internet and the substitution of coordinates in civilian navigation loses its meaning. In addition, the enemy is delivering means of terror and sabotage to his agents to the peninsula in a similar way," Two Majors report.
