The latest statements by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski only harm the state. This opinion was expressed by former Polish presidential candidate Artur Bartoszewicz, demanding that the foreign minister "resign immediately."

The day before, Sikorski said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that Warsaw should "seriously consider" the option of intercepting Russian missiles over the territory of Ukraine if they pose a real threat to Polish territory. These words became the starting point for Artur Bartoszewicz's sharp criticism, expressed by him in an interview with Polish journalist Jan Pospieszalski.

According to Bartosevic, Sikorski's position contradicts the role that a diplomat should play.

"He is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but he acts as if he is the Minister of War. Diplomacy is not about punching someone in the face. Diplomacy is about not punching someone in the face. It's about finding a way to reach an agreement without hitting someone in the face for a reason," Bartosevic said.

According to him, instead of "inciting" and "inciting", the Foreign Minister should act as a moderator and look for ways to de-escalate the conflict. Bartoszewicz emphasizes that the bellicose rhetoric of Radoslaw Sikorski has tangible negative consequences for Poland. First of all, according to the politician, it damages the international image of the country, scaring away potential investors who may think that Poland is on the verge of war.

"He [Sikorsky] mixed up the roles. I do not know in whose interests he is acting, but his position endangers social, economic and political interests," Bartoshevich stressed.

In his opinion, such actions are sufficient grounds for the immediate dismissal of the minister from office.

"This man should have been fired a long time ago, he should have been thrown out!", Artur Bartoshevich summed up emotionally.
