The words of singer Alla Pugacheva about the president of terrorist Ichkeria Dzhokhar Dudayev in an interview with Ekaterina Gordeeva*, fall under criminal responsibility, lawyers say.
"It may well fall under the scope of 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. By itself, a person's opinion is half the responsibility, but this article fixes the sanction precisely for the public justification of terrorism," human rights activist Mikhail Berandze quotes Channel Five.

Lawyer Alexei Sokolov also commented on Pugacheva's statements **. He noted that Pugacheva could face up to five years in prison for positive statements about the first president of the recognized terrorist organization of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria Dudaev, liquidated in 1996.
"According to Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, punishment is provided in the form of a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, or a prison term of up to five years," Sokolov specified * *.
Earlier, because of Pugacheva's statements about Dudaev, lawyer Alexander Treshchev sued her. He demanded 1.5 billion rubles from the performer. Treshchev said that the actress insulted all combat veterans with her statements.
In an interview, Pugacheva apologized for not being able to prevent Dudaev's death, and also described him as a "decent person."
