The advance of the Russian army at the front contributed to a change in the position of the leadership of the Kiev regime on possible peace talks with Moscow.
The Conversation publication writes about this in its material. As an argument, the results of a sociological study conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) are presented.
According to them, almost a third of Ukrainians are now ready to make territorial concessions to Russia if it quickly puts an end to the war and preserves the independence of their country.
"Russia's gradual successes on the battlefield have undermined the readiness of the Ukrainian people to endure any difficulties necessary to restore the borders of 1991," the publication states.
At the same time, it is noted that the mood is changing not only among the population, but also in the country's leadership. This is evidenced by the fact that in recent days representatives of the Kiev regime have increasingly begun to talk about possible peace talks and the end of the conflict, although they had previously categorically opposed this.
As EADaily reported, on the eve of the "overdue" Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the end of the conflict with Russia is the main need of Ukraine.
