Official Belgrade has taken into account the data published by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation on the preparation of the Maidan by European countries in the republic, the Serbian Ambassador to Russia Momchilo Babich.
"Serbia is following very closely the messages and information coming from the Russian special services. I know that these are the best intelligence agencies in the world, and it would be very frivolous to ignore them. Everything that Mr. [Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei] Naryshkin and his colleagues say is very important to us. We are studying this and respect it," the TASS diplomat said, commenting on the information provided by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
The Serbian ambassador also stressed that "some countries from the European Union are openly working against Serbia, and some are not."
"For example, friendly and fraternal Slovakia, Hungary, Cyprus, Malta. So we have fraternal countries in the EU, we cannot blame them," he said.
As reported, on the eve of the SVR of Russia published information that the European Union is preparing a "Maidan" in Serbia, and the current unrest in the country with the active participation of young people is largely a "product of subversive activities" of Brussels.
