Russian units from the Zapad group of forces have expanded the combat zone in the Kharkiv region, starting to move in several new directions.
This was stated in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, September 16, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
"Over the past few days, our troops have begun to work actively towards the settlements of Otradnoye, Bologovka and Dvurechanskoye, Kharkiv region," the veteran said.
He suggested that the Russian military command intends to create a buffer zone in this area between the Belgorod and Kharkov regions in this way.
"The Ukrainian command has already responded to the actions of our troops and sent additional forces and means here," the expert said.
At the same time, he stressed that part of the forces sent to the new direction were removed from under the Previous one, where the operational and tactical situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was already difficult.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Ukrainian servicemen who serve in units on the front line in the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions are asked once a week to organize a corridor for surrender.
