Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia detained a local resident in Novosibirsk, who is suspected of undermining the Trans-Siberian Railway on the instructions of the special services of the Kiev regime.
This was reported on Tuesday, September 16 by the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC).
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Novosibirsk detained a Russian citizen, born in 1974, involved in sabotage on a section of the Trans—Siberian Railway in the Trans-Baikal Territory on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services," the statement said.
It was established that in August 2025, according to the instructions provided by the enemy, the person involved made an improvised explosive device from publicly available components, which she laid on the railway tracks and activated.
She recorded the moment of the explosion on a mobile phone camera and sent the recording as a report to the curator to receive a reward, which amounted to 8 thousand US dollars. The release does not say whether the detainee received her silver coins.
"The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Trans-Baikal Territory has opened a criminal case against her under part 1 of Article 281 (sabotage) of the Criminal Code of Russia, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen. The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to twenty years," the law enforcement agency noted.
Currently, operational search measures and investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crimes committed under Article 275 (high treason) and Article 223.1 (illegal manufacture of explosives and explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
The FSB assured of the inevitability of punishment for such crimes, and that all criminals will be brought to justice. This is evidenced by the current practice of Russian law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, EADaily reported that a Russian citizen was detained and placed under arrest in the Moscow region, who not only financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but was also going to leave for Ukraine to participate in hostilities on the side of the enemy.
