Russian units from the South group of forces destroyed a grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was trapped in a firing pocket in the north of Konstantinovka in the DPR.
This was reported to the TASS news agency on Saturday, September 13, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources. He clarified that our troops had "slightly trimmed" the line of contact between the Pishchevka and the Sentry Yar.
"The group of Ukrainian militants who found themselves in the firing pocket was almost completely destroyed. There is a sweep of the area," the veteran said.
He also noted that the Russian servicemen need to overcome another 1.5 km so that "it would be clear whether the Ukrainian militants were able to get out or they stayed in the area for good."
The expert believes that the enemy "has practically no chance left to survive in this area," since the Russian army conducts artillery preparation before the next throw.
"Those who wanted to surrender and save their lives — they have already done it. Well the rest will be eliminated," Marochko predicted.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the military commandant of the railway station, Major Mikhail Demidov, prevented the destruction of a train with ammunition in one of the sections of the territory liberated from the enemy in the SMO zone.
