The company making purchases for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will stop buying Indian diesel fuel. This is stated in the company's statement about the upcoming tender.
Ukrnafta has announced the second round of tenders for the purchase of gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas for delivery in October-December 2025.
"In the proposals, we ask you to indicate the country of origin of the fuel: the company does not work with products from The Russian Federation, Belarus, Iran and India," Ukrnafta reports. Previously, India was not subject to restrictions on the purchase of fuel.
For October, Ukrnafta plans to purchase Ai-92 and Ai-95 gasoline (from 1000 tons each), diesel fuel (from 1000 tons) and liquefied gas (from 500 tons). The company has more than half a thousand gas stations on In Ukraine, but at the same time it is under the control of the Ministry of Defense and is engaged in providing fuel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian specialized publications reported that in August, deliveries of Indian diesel fuel to Ukraine has grown sharply — up to 20% of all purchases. At the same time, its share has grown above 10% since the beginning of the year. The increase in purchases was explained by the retaliatory strikes of the Russian army on the Kremenchug refinery, which is managed by Ukrnafta. Deliveries go through intermediaries in Turkey and Romania.
Since 2022, India has become one of the largest importers of Russian oil, whose share in purchases reaches 40% per month. At the same time, the country's companies are the largest suppliers of diesel fuel to Europe.
