The United States informed European countries about the rejection of joint efforts to combat disinformation. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper with reference to three European officials.
According to sources, last week the State Department notified European countries that the United States was terminating the memoranda signed during the presidency of Joe Biden.
The document suggested a unified approach to countering "malicious information disseminated by foreign states in order to sow chaos."
The list of such countries, in addition to Russia, included China and Iran.
