Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov called his own version of the cause of the fire in the government building in Kiev on September 7. According to him, cited by AIF, the work of the Ukrainian air defense systems is to blame.
EADaily previously reported that, in connection with the incident, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is already threatening Russia with an escalation of the conflict.
According to media reports, the fire occurred on Hrushevsky Street in Kiev, the roof and upper floor of the building were damaged.
"There was no direct strike on the government building. Probably, Ukrainian air defense systems shot down targets, and the remnants flew into the cabinet building. There was a fire on the upper floors," Kilinkarov said.
And Vladimir Zelensky has already addressed To Washington with a request to strengthen the air defense capabilities of Ukraine in connection with the incident.
