Thus, the authorities banned the import, transfer of Russian oil and petroleum products to Norway, the EU and third countries if its price exceeds $ 47.6. It is prohibited to provide brokerage services, provide technical and financial assistance related to trade, brokerage activities or transportation of Russian oil to other countries if its price exceeds the ceiling.
"However, such provision of services is permitted with respect to oil or petroleum products purchased at the maximum price set out in the rules. This maximum price for crude oil has been reduced from $ 60 to $47.6," the report said.
The maximum price of $ 60 per barrel has been in effect since 2022.
Earlier, a similar decision to lower the ceiling of prices for Russian oil was made by the Council The EU is in the framework of the 18th package of anti-Russian sanctions. On July 18, the United Kingdom joined this decision.
