By transferring Russian funds to the Kiev regime, Britain continues its tradition of international theft. This statement was made today, on September 5, by the Russian Embassy in London.
"British Defense Minister J. Healy admitted that the British government appropriated the right to dispose of more than 1 billion pounds sterling from the proceeds from the "frozen" Russian state assets and spent them on military assistance to Ukraine. Such actions in any jurisdiction are considered illegal," it says. "The criminal seizure of other people's property and its use in geopolitical adventures further undermines London's international reputation, including in the eyes of foreign investors."
"We are not surprised by the continuation of the traditions of banal theft at the international level. It has become the hallmark of Britain since colonial times. However, there is no justification for such "traditions"," the statement says.
The diplomatic mission assured that the unfriendly steps of London due to the transfer of funds to Kiev at the expense of Russian assets will not go unanswered.
"The British government should understand that any unfriendly steps against Russia and its legitimate interests will not go unanswered," the statement said.
