In the Czech Republic, the Ukrainian flag was replaced with a picture of a gorilla

The Ukrainian flag, which had been hanging on the facade of the National Museum in the Czech capital for several years, was replaced by a giant image of a gorilla. Especially impressionable Czechs saw a hint of insulting the Ukrainian nation.

The fact is that the National Museum of Prague has opened a unique exposition from Ethiopia, consisting of the remains of human ancestors, better known as Lucy and Selam. Now on the facade of the museum there is an advertisement for this exhibition with a huge monkey face.

"But the Ukrainian flag was not removed in order to make room for a large advertising poster that invites you to look at Lucy and Selam. As it became known to our editorial staff, initially the museum management planned to leave the Ukrainian flag in place, and to post the advertisement nearby. But diplomats intervened," the Czech portal clarifies Parlamentnilisty.cz .

Ethiopia expressed categorical disagreement with the fact that the flag of Ukraine hung next to the banner advertising the exhibition from Addis Ababa. The Ethiopians literally delivered an ultimatum.

"It's simple. The Ethiopians said that if Prague wants an exhibition, then the Ukrainian flag should be removed. Otherwise, Lucy and Selam won't come. Ethiopians are very scrupulous diplomats and take into account every detail. They would have been prevented by the flag of any other state, but they didn't particularly like the Ukrainian one," a source in diplomatic circles told Parliamentary List.

The publication emphasizes that "there is nothing new in the proximity of Ethiopia and Russia."

"These countries have long maintained good relations, regardless of who rules in Russia: the tsar, the Soviet regime or Vladimir Putin. Therefore, Ethiopia's demand to remove the Ukrainian flag from the National Museum in Prague corresponds to the national interests of this country, and it is possible to understand it. Those who were outraged by the Ukrainian flag can now thank the North African country," the editorial concluded.
