The nurse of the Chuguev branch of the State Institution "Kharkiv Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination" appropriated wedding rings, chains, watches, as well as mobile phones taken from the bodies of the dead riders. This was announced today, August 26, according to the press service of the Kharkiv regional Prosecutor's Office.
The law enforcement officers were approached by the wife of one of the victims, who noticed the disappearance of the wedding ring. The woman noted that before the transfer of the body to the morgue, the decoration was in place.
The morgue worker regularly pawned everything stolen for cash. Investigators found that she cut off some wedding rings from the fingers of the corpses with pliers.
The suspect has been arrested and faces up to eight years in prison.
