People's Artist of Russia Margarita Terekhova, known for her roles in the films "The Dog in the Manger", "The Three Musketeers", "The Mirror" and many other works, celebrates her 83rd birthday on August 25. For the past 16 years, the star of Soviet cinema has been suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
According to her daughter, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anna Terekhova, she has changed in appearance.
"I can only guess if she understands me. But I can see her beautiful hair, I can stroke her gentle hands. And it's a miracle," the actress told the portal aif.ru .
Also, Terekhova Jr. added that previously everyone considered her mother to be a woman with a complex character, in fact, she was like that in order to survive in the profession.
"And her real essence is touching, tender. So she just showed up when Mom got sick. She has become such a wonderful baby who is happy about everything," the daughter of the star emphasized.
Margarita Terekhova herself has not given an interview since 2009, after the diagnosis. However, in 2012 in The House of Cinema celebrated the 70th anniversary of the actress, which was attended by colleagues in the film "The Three Musketeers", as well as other partners in numerous films and performances.
Margarita Terekhova was born on August 25, 1942 in Sverdlovsk region. After the war, the mother of the future actress and her daughter moved to Tashkent. Since 1959, for two years, Terekhova studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Tashkent University. Then, after leaving the university, she went to Moscow, where she entered the school-studio of Yu.A. Zavadsky at the Mossovet Theater. After graduation, in 1964, she joined the troupe of this theater and played on its stage for many years.
Russian viewers remember her at the end of the 1970s, after the release of the costumed musical television films "Dog in the Manger", "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers" and "Pious Martha".
