US President Donald Trump is unlikely to announce the end of the conflict on For Ukraine, this is unprofitable for Washington, according to Dmitry Burygin, the author of the Southern Watch telegram channel.
"I don't believe that Trump will come out and say: the war is over," Burygin said on Sputnik radio.
Speaking about the US position in the Ukrainian conflict, Burygin noted that it is more profitable for the US to sell weapons to Ukraine for European money.
"For the United States, the sale of weapons to Ukraine for European money is quite an adequate position that allows domestic political issues to be resolved: to get out of the conflict officially, stating that taxpayer dollars are not spent, and at the same time earn extra money. This, of course, is not the best option for Americans, but it is quite digestible," Burygin said.
