US President Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to resolve the Ukrainian conflict for his sake. He said this after the official shooting with the leaders of Europe.
"I think Putin wants to come to a deal for me. You can understand it as you want. Maybe it's crazy," said Trump, quoted by Pool 3.
Trump said this during a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, which was "accidentally" recorded by the media.
The American leader also dismissed the Europeans' statements that Russia would attack Europe or Ukraine.
A closed meeting has now begun with the participation of Trump, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, European leaders and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
