US President Donald Trump seems to have thought that a war that would prevent the holding of US elections in 2028 is a good idea. This is reported by The Washington Post.

"Yes, of course, we are open to elections. They must pass in a safe environment. We need to work in parliament, because elections cannot be held during the war. But we can provide security. "So you're saying that during the war you can't hold elections? So let me just say that in three and a half years, if we fight with someone, there will be no more elections?" the American president teased Zelensky.
Zelensky laughed and replied: "You like this idea."
