The total number of people killed as a result of an explosion and fire at an enterprise in the Ryazan region has increased to 11 people, the number of victims has reached 130 people.
This information was distributed on Saturday morning, August 16 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. It is noted that rescuers manually and with the help of heavy machinery dismantle rubble, slabs, take out construction debris.
At the same time, cynological crews of the EMERCOM of Russia continue to examine the destroyed structures. Unfortunately, they continue to discover sad finds.
"During the analysis of the rubble, the bodies of two more people were found. In total, unfortunately, 11 people died. 130 people were injured. Psychologists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are working on the spot," the statement said.
The department clarified that by now more than 360 specialists and 90 pieces of equipment have been involved in the elimination of the consequences of the emergency.
As reported by EADaily, on August 15, a strong explosion occurred at the Elastic gunpowder factory in the village of Lesnoy in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region. Later, a version was published according to which the cause of the emergency was a violation of industrial safety requirements. Earlier, according to official data, the death toll was 9 people. It was also reported that 120 people were injured.
