Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the results of the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. He stressed that further negotiations are possible without preconditions and simultaneously with the continuation of SMO.
In his Telegram channel, the former president and Prime Minister highlighted several more key results of the high-level talks between Russia and the United States.
- A full-fledged mechanism of meetings between Russia and the United States at the highest level has been restored. Calm, without ultimatums and threats;
- The Russian President personally and in detail outlined to the US President the conditions for ending the conflict on Ukraine;
- Following a three-hour conversation, the head of the White House refused to escalate pressure on Russia. At least for now;
- Important: the meeting proved that negotiations are possible without preconditions and simultaneously with the continuation of SMO.
Medvedev considers the main outcome of the negotiations to be the fact that both sides have directly placed the responsibility for achieving future results in the negotiations on the cessation of hostilities on Kiev and Europe.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the head of the Kiev regime on Monday, August 18, will hold a personal meeting with Trump in Washington. During the telephone conversation, Trump told Zelensky that Putin did not want a cease-fire and preferred a comprehensive agreement to end the war.
