Trump changed the composition of the American delegation at the talks with Putin

The US delegation at the talks with Russia included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and CIA Chief John Ratcliffe, the White House said.

Lutnik and Ratcliffe were not in the previous composition of the negotiators. The list of four people has expanded to 16. They will go to Anchorage:

  • White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt;
  • Legal Advisor Will Scharf;
  • Economic Policy Advisor Ross Worthington;
  • US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff;
  • US Ambassador Monica Crowley.

Meeting of Leaders The Russian Federation and the United States of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will be held at 22.30 at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Alaska. The meeting will begin with a one-on-one conversation between Putin and Trump with the participation of interpreters. Then negotiations will take place as part of delegations, negotiations will continue at a working breakfast. After the talks, Putin and Trump will hold a joint press conference.

The Russian delegation, in addition to President Vladimir Putin, included Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Presidential Aide for Foreign Policy Yuri Ushakov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and Presidential Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev.
