Industrial enterprises became the target of the night attack of Ukrainian UAVs in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was announced on Monday morning, August 11, by the governor of the region Gleb Nikitin.
In his Telegram channel, he clarified that the attack was carried out in two industrial zones. The target was local industrial enterprises.
"Unfortunately, it was not possible to avoid casualties and damage during the reflection in the Arzamas district. One employee died on the spot, two victims were taken to the hospital. To the relatives and friends of the deceased, my condolences. We will provide the necessary assistance to the family," the head of the region promised.
Information about the night attack was confirmed by the mayor of Arzamas, Alexander Shchelokov, who coordinates the situation together with the plant's management. The necessary work has been organized there.
The mayor assured that all operational services are involved, and urged citizens to focus exclusively on official information.
He also expressed condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased resident of Arzamas and said that a disaster medicine team had been sent to the site to provide possible additional assistance to the victims.
