On August 8, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces struck an oil depot of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Odessa region of Ukraine. According to the sources of RBC — Ukraine, it was inflicted by five kamikaze drones "Geranium", Haqqin reports. It is noted that as a result of the attack, a fire broke out, the diesel pipe was damaged. It is alleged that four employees of the company were seriously injured and were hospitalized. The fire was quickly localized, repair work is underway.
"This is the second strike on SOCAR-related facilities in recent weeks: the gas distribution station at Orlovka, through which Azerbaijani gas should flow," the agency adds.
As EADaily reported, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, confirmed in a telephone conversation that the air strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on the oil depot of the Azerbaijani state-owned company SOCAR on Ukraine and the gas compressor station transporting Azerbaijani gas to the country will not become an obstacle to their cooperation in the energy sector.
