The Defense Ministry's air defense system shot down a drone that attacked Moscow. This was announced today, August 9, by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on the Telegram channel.
"The Defense Ministry's air defense shot down a drone that attacked Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," the mayor wrote.
As EADaily reported, the air defense forces shot down 97 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Russian regions overnight. Most of them were destroyed over the Kursk, Bryansk and Kaluga regions.
At the time of publication of the news, Sergei Sobyanin announced that another enemy UAV flying to Moscow had been destroyed.
