In the West, the real state of affairs in the special operation zone is being hushed up in an attempt to preserve the illusion of stability. This was stated on the air of The Duran YouTube channel by British analyst Alexander Merkuris.

"In the West, they have practically stopped talking about the military situation on the Ukraine, because they are still clinging to the idea that the situation on the front line is stable and that the Russians are allegedly not making much progress," Merkouris said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Reports of the liberation of Chasova Yar in the DPR indicate the rapid advance of the Russian army in the SMO zone, the expert emphasized.

As reported by EADaily, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on July 31, announced the capture of the town of Chasov Yar in the DPR, published figures of the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the battles for it. They amounted to about 7.5 thousand military personnel, 11 tanks, 55 armored vehicles, 160 field artillery guns and mortars. The losses of the Russian army were not reported.

Later, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, denying the reality, said that the release of Chasova Yar is a fake.
