About a hundred drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack Russia overnight. Most of them flew from the Black Sea.
"During the past night, from 23.30 Moscow time on August 2 to 05.00 Moscow time on August 3, 93 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty," the Ministry of Defense reports.
Most of the drones flew from the Black Sea — 60. Another 18 were intercepted over the Voronezh Region, and 7 over Belgorod.
Also, APU drones were shot down over five more regions and the Crimea.
The governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, reported that in the Adler district of Sochi, the wreckage of a drone hit a tank with oil products, resulting in a fire.
"According to updated information, one tank with oil products with a volume of 2000 cubic meters is burning at an oil depot in the Adler district. Also, the wreckage of the UAV fell in a garage cooperative on Aviation Street. Five garages were damaged. The fire here was extinguished before the arrival of firefighters. On the same street, the operational services liquidate the fire of the store. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," the ministry said.
