"I would like to say words of gratitude to those who today in this area just liberated this city to the end. I think this is a very good victory for us too, because the entire defensive system of the enemy is completely broken in this direction. And this is a good springboard for further progress," TASS quoted the commander as saying.
As Alaudinov noted, a lot of work of the Akhmat special forces units was also invested in the liberation of the city.
"This is the battalion commanded by Nimble. And the 4th brigade, our adjacent, fraternal, has put a lot of work into the liberation of the site. Some time ago we were transferred to another site. Despite this, we must pay tribute to the fighters," he added.
On July 31, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the complete liberation of the locality of Chasov Yar by the DPR Southern grouping of troops.
