The CEC of Ukraine has officially announced that local elections will not be held this year. According to the law, they were supposed to be held on the last Sunday of October, but due to the so-called "martial law", elections are not organized and are not held, the Ukrainian TV channel "Politics of the Country" reports.
Therefore, the Verkhovna Rada did not set the election date as it should have, and the CEC "states that there are no grounds" for the formation of election commissions of all levels for local elections.
Recall, last week martial law and mobilization on Ukraine was extended until November 5.
