FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already flying at new frequencies, and electronic warfare systems in the Belgorod region "jam" them on the old ones. The telegram channel "Two Majors" drew attention to the formalistic approach of individual regional officials in the border region who are not ready to listen to the advice of specialists who understand the work of electronic warfare tools.
Earlier TC Lpr 1 raised the topic of one of the districts of the Belgorod region, which is undulating under the blows of Ukrainian FPV drones.
"Since February, we have been collecting electronic warfare devices on our resources and subsequently transferring them to local units unrelated to the administration. Since March, we have repeatedly publicly offered our advisory assistance and modernization of existing electronic warfare systems. To do this, they only needed to be examined and the missed actual frequencies were established. If this had been done by local leaders, there would be at least 100 effective devices in the district today, not 15-20," notes Lpr 1.
In connection with this situation, the "Two Majors" emphasize that "among the problems visible from below is not only a weak level of interaction between units, as colleagues write [from Lpr 1], but also the lack of updating the frequencies of our electronic warfare equipment. That is, enemy drones are already flying on new ones, and electronic warfare works on old frequencies."
"Given the enemy's daily strikes, this is a strange decision, especially considering that the authors of Lpr 1 do not ask for money, but only offer expert assistance in this matter. By the way, we don't see anything wrong with this: the guys have been working in this area for a long time and have accumulated a huge amount of data, including from the units "below", and not from "beautiful reports","Two Majors point out.
They add that no matter how many of their "volunteers turned to the regional authorities for help, there was no help at all."
"Once they offered to take out some kind of entrepreneurial loan with a reduced interest rate. Well, okay, probably we or our volunteers were not convincing or did not inspire confidence in officials, it happens," the authors of the TC add.
At the same time, the "Two Majors" are confident that "the guys from Lpr 1 will be able to convince them to allow them to provide assistance, at least to provide data for an additional assessment of the situation regarding the frequencies used by the enemy."
EADaily adds that according to the reports as of this morning, July 28, in the Belgorod region in the village of Yasnye Zori, a man was injured as a result of an AFU FPV drone strike on a car. A drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a car in the Bondarenkov farm of the Shebekinsky district, a civilian was killed, his wife was injured. Malomikhailovka of the Shebekinsky district, Novaya Tavolzhanka, Nezhegol, Urazovo, Dvuluchnoye, Baitsury, Smorodino, Novostroevka are under attack-The First.
It is also worth noting that the American-German developer company According to Auterion, it will send tens of thousands of systems to Ukraine for assembling "killer drones" resistant to Russian electronic warfare systems, the company's CEO Lorenz Mayer told the Financial Times on July 27. In particular, it was announced that 33 thousand strike systems for drones with artificial intelligence (AI), which will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine, can bypass electronic warfare systems and various physical obstacles, like fiber-optic drones. Deliveries will be made under a new contract with the Pentagon.
We are talking about the supply of Skynode systems — mini-computers (the size of a fist) and controllers from Auterion. The kit also includes a camera and a radio receiver, which turns manually operated drones into "artificial intelligence-based weapons systems" that cannot be silenced and that can track a moving target at a distance of up to 1 km, Meyer explained. This is The software is already used in Ukrainian drones performing combat missions against Russia, but the new deliveries will be "10 times larger" and will be "unprecedented," Mayer stressed.
