In the Nizhny Novgorod region, an SBU agent was detained who was preparing to launch drones with explosives. This was announced today, July 23, by the FSB Central Control Center.

"In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the activities of an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine involved in high treason and the illegal acquisition of explosive devices and explosives were suppressed... During the execution of a task to organize a cache in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the attacker was detained red-handed. Explosives, UAV components, communications equipment and documents incriminating his illegal activities were found and seized with him,"the report says.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the detainee on the grounds of crimes provided for in Article 275 (high treason) and part one of Article 222.1 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

By a court decision, he was given a preventive measure in the form of detention.

"The accused has pleaded guilty and is cooperating with the investigation," the FSB concluded.
