Ukrainians staged a demonstration in Gdansk, Poland, chanting Bandera slogans. The police are investigating.
Several dozen young citizens of Ukraine took to the streets of Gdansk, chanting, among other things, Bandera slogans: "Glory to Ukraine!" "Glory to the UPA*!" etc. The video of the incident appeared on social networks and caused a wide response. For example, former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller wrote on his microblog:
"Well, the Ukrainian army is suffering from a shortage of recruits..."
Representatives of the Confederation of the Polish Crown party, led by Grzegorz Brown, also issued a statement:
"We are waiting for further police actions and information on this issue."
Gdansk police confirmed that they are conducting an investigation, the guards are analyzing the available video materials and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
In early July, EADaily reported on the appearance of Ukrainian graffiti on the walls of houses in Wroclaw, including the inscription "Glory to the UPA"*, as well as characteristic black and red colors associated with the Ukrainian Insurgent Army*.
