MIA: For those foreigners who want to move to Russia, visa category is not important

For foreigners from unfriendly countries who share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and want to move to Russia, the visa category is not important. This was reported in the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"We remind you that according to Decree No. 702, the circle of applicants includes citizens of foreign countries included in the list of (unfriendly) countries, and persons permanently residing in these countries who wish to move to Russia for residence, regardless of the stated purpose of their stay in Of the Russian Federation," the message says.

You can apply for a temporary residence permit with any valid visa: single electronic, tourist, private, business. It is not necessary to obtain a special private visa provided for by Decree No. 702.

"For example, if a foreigner who has arrived from an unfriendly state is already in Russia with a tourist visa and wants to apply for a RVP, he does not need to leave Russia and get a special private ambassador visa marked "Decree No. 702" and re-enter it in Russia," the department explained.

In addition, the validity period of the visa or RVP is extended for the time of consideration of the application.
