In the latest EU budget, Poland has been allocated more than 123 billion euros. This week, the European Commission published a summary of planned expenditures from the general budget for 2028-2034 for all member states. Reports have been confirmed that Poland will become the largest beneficiary of EU funds, which informs Gazeta.Pl .
The draft budget is only the first step so far, since it has yet to be adopted by Member States. And the first reaction from European capitals confirms that the negotiations will be difficult.
Published data show that of all EU Poland alone will exceed 100 billion euros. France is in second place with just over 90 billion euros, followed by Spain with more than 88 billion euros.
The Polish pool consists of funds from the agricultural and cohesive Policy funds — more than 110 billion euros, plus just under 2 billion euros from the fund dedicated to migration and security, and almost 9 billion euros from the Social Climate Fund for a Fair Energy Transition.
It is important to note that the Polish regions in the east, bordering Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, will receive more money than the rest, as they are subjected to greater pressure — both migration and trade.
If Poland's budget is fully preserved during the negotiations, this will be a record amount since Poland joined the EU. However, negotiations will be difficult, as Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands have already stated that they will not agree to such a large budget. The EU will demand spending cuts.
