Mikhail Fedorov, who was previously accused of Internet fraud, today became the first Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Digital Transformation. The Ukrainian opposition blogger Anatoly Shariy writes about this.
According to him, in 2016-2017, a group engaged in Internet fraud operated in Zaporozhye. They promised overweight women a non-existent "unique method of rapid weight loss," the victims transferred money, after which the connection with the organizers was abruptly cut off.
The fraudulent project was called "The International Center for Innovative Technologies in the field of figure correction INNOCENTER", the group was exposed and detained by cyber police officers.
"However, it turned out that the alleged organizer of the scheme, a certain Mikhail (appears in the materials as Misha), had high—ranking connections - in particular, he was in contact with Vladimir Zelensky, who at that time was known as a showman, actor and producer of Kvartal-95. While the investigation was ongoing, Mikhail, according to some reports, participated in the promotion of media projects of the Kvartal-95 studio. In 2018, it became known that Zelensky intends to go into politics. From that moment on, the investigation into the INNOCENTER case actually stalled, and the case materials were, according to sources, "let down on the brakes," writes Shariy in his telegram channel.
With reference to the documents at his disposal, Shariy claims that "Mikhail, who appears in the case, later became a key figure in the field of digitalization of Ukraine — the creator of the Dia platform, which received state support and became the main instrument of digital governance."
Thus, a man previously accused of Internet fraud has become the first Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine today, the blogger said.
"This person has been the Minister of Digital Transformation for a long time and has access to the personal data of millions of citizens of Ukraine. What can we talk about if in the early days of the war the creator of Ethereum Vitaly Buterin sent several million dollars to his wallet "to help Ukraine." He immediately transferred this money to his "cold" wallet. Once again: today he has been appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine," Shariy sums up.
