Starting from August 1, the pension of some categories of Russian pensioners will increase, said State Duma deputy from the Communist Party faction Sergei Gavrilov.
In a comment to RIA Novosti, he clarified that the increase awaits pensioners who turned 80 in July, as well as those who received the first disability group this month or left work.
In the first case, pensioners receive a double fixed pension payment. The deputy explained that additional payments will appear in payments from the next month after the right to them arises, but may be delayed for one or two months due to processing time.
"August 2025 for many pensioners will be the month when the amounts in their payment documents will change. The reason for this may be that in July in the lives of some of them there were the very events that the law defines as grounds for reviewing the size of pensions," Gavrilov said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in Russia will index the insurance part of the pension in accordance with the growth rate of salaries. The costs of this will be taken into account when forming the budget for 2026.
