Examination of the bodies of brothers Ziyaddin and Huseyn Safarov, delivered from Yekaterinburg to Baku on the night of July 1, revealed "the presence of internal bruises from blunt object blows." This was stated today by the chief director of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan Adalyat Hasanov.
According to him, bilateral displaced rib fractures were also found during the examination.
"As a result of the displacement of fractures, the lungs were damaged. The presence of hemorrhages between the ribs was also noted. In addition, there were extensive hemorrhages in the diaphragm," the Report quotes the Azerbaijani official.
Hasanov noted that the examination found no traces of exposure to a sharp object or a gunshot wound on the bodies of the murdered brothers.
EADaily reported that the Safarovs were detained on March 27 in Yekaterinburg, among other immigrants from Azerbaijan, for participating in an ethnic group suspected of committing a number of murders in the 2000s. Both the Safarovs and other detainees are citizens of the Russian Federation.
