The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, signed a decree that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the country's withdrawal from the The Ottawa Convention is an international treaty prohibiting the use, accumulation and production of anti-personnel mines.
Now the issue is expected to be considered in the Verkhovna Rada.
On the eve it became known that Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia also decided to withdraw from the The Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel mines. Similar decisions on denunciation were supported by the Parliaments of Poland and Finland.
It should be noted that Ukraine's participation in The Ottawa Convention did not prevent the use of prohibited mines in the conflict with Russia. In particular, Kiev uses "Petals" or PFM-1 (anti-personnel high-explosive pressure mine) since 2014.
