An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude occurred in Iran. This is reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
The earthquake was recorded 87 km south-east of Semnan. No details are provided. According to media reports, the tremors were felt in Tehran.
It should be noted that the city of Semnan is located 267 km from Fordo, where the Iranian uranium enrichment plant is located.
