Closely watched: Akhedzhakova stopped going on stage in Europe without protection

Touring performances in European cities by 86-year-old Soviet and Russian theater and film actress Liya Akhedzhakova are under the supervision of security. This is reported by the portal "Paragraph" with reference to the spectator of one of the performances.

So in the Olympia Theater (Teatro Olympia) in Valencia, Spain, during the performance, several men stood at the stage, who closely monitored the behavior in the hall. In addition, strong young people also strenuously controlled the audience, who lined up to give the actress flowers after the performance.

As part of a tour of Spain and Switzerland, they are presenting the "world premiere" of the play "Drive your Plow over the Bones of the Dead" based on the novel by Olga Tokarchuk. The director was the winner of the "Golden Mask" Boris Pavlovich, actors Alexander Feklistov, Musya Totibadze, Maria Krol and Gleb Romashevsky also take part in the performance. There have already been screenings in Barcelona, Valencia and Estopone. On June 14 and 16, the play will be shown in Zurich and Geneva.

As EADaily reported, at the performance in Los Angeles "My grandson Benjamin" based on the book by the writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya ❶, the audience approached Akhedzhakova with flowers. Handing the actress a bouquet, one of the donors thanked the 86-year-old actress "for Ukraine."

She, without blinking, said with a smile: "Glory to Ukraine."

After that, activists of the "Forty Forty" movement sent an appeal to the Ministry of Justice demanding that Akhedzhakova be recognized as a foreign agent. And the head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption Vitaly Borodin called for banning the artist from entering the Russia for 50 years.
