The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called it strange that the Israeli ambassador to Mikhail Brodsky periodically tells Ukraine about the supply of weapons to Kiev.
This is how Zakharova reacted to the refutation by the Israeli Foreign Ministry of information about the supply of Patriot missile systems to Kiev.
"The strange thing is that he (the ambassador) repeats these statements regularly. These are not "value judgments", not a "personal point of view." These are the maxims of an official issued as facts," Zakharova writes in the telegram channel.
As reported by EADaily, on the eve Brodsky said that "the Patriot systems that we once received from The United States, are now on Ukraine".
"These are Israeli systems that were in service with Israel in the early 1990s. We agreed to transfer them to Ukraine. And this, unfortunately, was not talked about very much. But when they say that Israel has not helped militarily, it is not so. This is not true," Brodsky said.
Today, on June 10, the Israeli Foreign Ministry denied the words of its ambassador.
"The statement is not true. Israel did not transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine," the ministry said.
