The statement by the Ambassador of Tel Aviv in Kiev, Mikhail Brodsky, about the transfer of obsolete Patriot missile systems to Ukraine is not true. This statement was made by the Israeli Foreign Ministry at the request of RIA Novosti.
"The statement is not true. Israel did not transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine," the department said.
At the same time, the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgy Tikhy, did not refute or confirm the transfer, but said that Ukraine "welcomes Israel's signals about the possibility and readiness to provide military assistance," the Country's Policy TV channel reports.
As EADaily reported, on the eve of the Israeli ambassador to Mikhail Brodsky said in an interview with Ukraine that Israel had handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine anti-aircraft decommissioned Patriot missile systems, which he had previously received from the United States. The diplomat complained that little attention was paid to this topic in the press. He also rejected claims that Tel Aviv did not help Kiev militarily.
It should be noted that in August 2024, Brodsky stated that there were talks in Israel about writing off obsolete Patriot air defenses and transferring them Ukraine, but at that time the final decision had not yet been made.
