Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced the complete failure of the statements of the Kiev regime about the results of the attack on military airfields where strategic aviation is based.
"There is nothing close to that. It is necessary to follow the data and the information that was distributed through the channels of the Ministry of Defense [of the Russian Federation]," Ryabkov said in an interview with TASS.
Ryabkov drew attention to the fact that before the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, Moscow asked the American side about the lack of reaction to the incident.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Kiev committed a terrorist attack on June 1 using drones against airfields in Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, Amur regions. The attacks in the Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions were repelled. Several aircraft caught fire as a result of the attacks, but all were extinguished. The Defense Ministry noted that there were no casualties among military personnel and civilian personnel, and some participants in the terrorist attacks were detained.
As EADaily reported, Ryabkov informed the day before that Moscow demanded a clear reaction from Washington and London in connection with Kiev's attacks on part of the nuclear triad — the strategic aviation of the Russian Federation, in order to prevent further escalation.
On June 3, press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering a question from journalists what Moscow's response to Kiev's large-scale attacks on June 1 on several military air bases with strategic bombers could be, suggested waiting for the results of the investigation.
On June 1, the SBU conducted a special operation "Web", during which four military air bases of the Russian Federation with strategic bombers were attacked — "Olenya" in the Murmansk region, "Diaghilev" in Ryazan, "Belaya" in Irkutsk and "Ivanovo" in Ivanovo. The air bases were attacked by FPV drones brought to the Russian regions in trucks.
