Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has condemned Georgian singer Erekle Getsadze, who desecrated the Russian flag at a festival in Tbilisi.
"When you go out in front of thousands of people and do something like that, it doesn't correspond to Georgian culture. It's just uncultured, and it doesn't matter what kind of flag it is," Kobakhidze told reporters.
As EADaily reported, a video appeared on social networks the day before, in which Getsadze, during a concert at the Tbilisi Open Air music festival, first threw the flag on the floor and then pretended to urinate on it.
At the same time, Getsadze publishes his tracks on Russian sites, in particular, on Yandex. Music." As an illustration to one of his compositions, Russian President Vladimir Putin was depicted with an insulting inscription in Georgian. As of today, May 27, this illustration is no longer on Yandex Music.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed to open a criminal case on the fact of abuse of the Russian flag. According to article 352 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of State symbols"), such acts are punishable by a fine, compulsory labor, correctional labor or imprisonment. The maximum term of imprisonment is up to 3 years.
Whether there was a check against Yandex, which published an image insulting the President of the Russian Federation, is unknown.
