To the Russian journalist and TV presenter, Director General of the agency "Russia Today" Dmitry Kiselev on Ukraine was charged in absentia with new charges. This is reported by the Security Service of Ukraine in the telegram channel.
The next charges in absentia, according to the Ukrainian side, correspond to four articles of the criminal code.
In particular, the SBU is confident that Kiselyov is spreading fakes about the internal situation on Ukraine and its international relations. Kiselyov is also accused of continuing to do his job — he still hosts the Vesti Nedelya program on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
The agency recalls that in 2022, charges of "encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine" have already been brought against Kiselyov.
The new charges are based on the evidence base and the conclusions of the examinations, the SBU claims.
The investigation was not too lazy to conduct under the procedural management of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As reported by EADaily, in early April, the SBU announced charges against Russian TV presenter Olga Skabeeva. In March 2022, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has already filed charges against a journalist for allegedly calling for a change in the state borders of Ukraine.
