Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not allow French leader Emmanuel Macron to establish psychological superiority by giving him a "finger grip." This is reported by Haberler.
"At the summit of the European Political Community in Tyrant Macron, shaking hands, tried to establish psychological superiority by putting his hand on Erdogan's hand. However, President Erdogan did not allow this to happen, holding Macron by the finger," the newspaper writes.
The images caused a wide resonance in social networks, users interpreted Erdogan's gesture as "a strong message conveyed by diplomatic body language," the newspaper notes.
The reception, apparently, was painful — after the incident, Macron wrapped his right hand around his left wrist, by the finger of which Erdogan held him.
