Huge reserves of lithium have been discovered in a caldera on the border of Nevada and Oregon in the USA. The cost of the deposit is estimated at about $ 1.5 trillion, as reported by the publication Gazeta.Pl .

It's about the caldera (the depression on the top of the volcano) McDermitt, experts have already estimated the lithium content in it at 20-40 million tons. This is almost twice as much as in the previous largest lithium deposit in Bolivia.

Industry portal dailygalaxy.com indicates that the American McDermitt deposit may have an impact on the price of this metal worldwide and geopolitical relations. The site describes the discovery of the deposit as a "geological miracle."
