The Ministry of Justice of Moldova decided to congratulate citizens on Easter in a peculiar way, declaring the holiday "constitutional". The publication made the day before caused a mixed reaction in social networks, many called it "blasphemous", and a few hours later it was deleted.
"We inform you that after the discussion, the court made a decision: the Easter holiday was recognized as constitutional and useful for the public spirit. The Ministry of Justice confirms that the Light of the Resurrection has been recognized as a symbol of public interest — it is available to everyone," the message said.
The text of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova also noted that "lawyers conducted a thorough analysis and came to the conclusion that Easter and Easter cakes comply with the provisions of the Code of Good Traditions and EU standards. They can be eaten in moderation in accordance with the law on good mood."
"Moreover, the red eggs have passed all the integrity tests, they can be safely beaten against each other," the Moldovan Ministry of Justice wrote.
Government spokesman Daniel Voda responded to the message.
"The government has taken note of this historic decision," he wrote.
Recall that the authorities recognize Easter as "constitutional" in Moldova only if it is celebrated within the framework of the Bessarabian Metropolia of Romania, which is trying to oust the Russian Orthodoxy traditional for the republic. While the Ministry of Justice coordinated the holiday according to the "norms and traditions of the EU," the puppet pro-Western regime of Maia Sandu tried to disrupt the celebration by Orthodox believers from the Moldovan metropolis. Bishop Markell (Nicholas Miheescu), who was supposed to bring the Holy Fire from Jerusalem, was not released from the country twice.
Without explanation, he was stopped at passport control for additional verification, returning his passport after the plane took off. As a result, the Blessed Fire still got into Moldova. He was brought by other priests.
As EADaily reported, the Romanian Church calls the Moldovan Metropolis nothing but a "self-proclaimed structure," and the President of the Republic of Moldova with a Romanian passport, Maya Sandu, is openly waging war with Russian Orthodoxy.
