Volodymyr Zelenskyy has put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (Security Council) on personal sanctions against 20 Russian cultural and sports figures.
In particular, sanctions were imposed on Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN), Irina Apeksimova, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Alexander Rozenbaum, Egor Konchalovsky, Garik Sukachev, Yuri Kuklachev, Nikita Dzhigurda, Oscar Kucera, Sergei Polunin, as well as athletes Elena Vyalbe and Sophia the Great.
Sanctions have been imposed for a period of 10 years. Restrictions include blocking assets on In Ukraine, the cancellation of licenses, a ban on the transfer of intellectual property, the termination of trade agreements, as well as the deprivation of all Ukrainian state awards.
As EADaily reported, in November last year Zelensky signed a decree that put into effect the decision of the NSDC to deprive the state awards of "traitors of Ukraine." There were 34 such "zradniki" in total.
