Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is aware of the difference between a mutually beneficial deal with the United States and another trap that will lead the country to dependence.
According to the minister, today, when normal deals are offered to Moscow, it is perceived "in a good way."
"We perfectly understand what a mutually beneficial deal looks like, which we have never rejected, and what a deal looks like that could drive us into another trap," the Russian Foreign Minister said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.
He noted that Russia can no longer allow any restoration of relations in the economy and other spheres to again lead to dependence on conventional spare parts, on the condition of which the welfare and general condition of the country depends. As the minister pointed out, we are talking about Russia's military, technological and food security.
"This lesson, I am 100% convinced, will not be forgotten. It is not for nothing that Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, speaking in the midst of a special military operation, said that we have learned lessons and it will never be the same again as it was before February 2022," the Russian Foreign Minister added.
